Howdy! I’m Ian, a San Francisco, California based wedding photographer.
I’ve been shooting full time since 2014, and have loved every minute of it! Photographing weddings has allowed me to meet some awesome people and share in capturing their big moments, while at the same time allowing me time to play and get creative with portraits and weird ideas. I think everyone should have a creative outlet – whether its cooking, playing music, or taking photos – and being able to do this as a career is truly a blessing I try not to take for granted.
Capturing authentic moments is the most challenging and rewarding thing I get to do with my camera, and I’m so honoured to be asked to judge for Photographers Keeping It Real.
I’ve taken workshops with some of the world’s best wedding photographers in order to develop my craft, with a huge emphasis on being a better photojournalistic wedding photographer. I’m so proud to associate myself with organisations that encourage and promote candid photography because, at the end of the day, these are the images that last for generations and can bring back those feelings even years later.
Aside from photography, I enjoy traveling and enjoying the outdoors, yoga, and sifting through my collection of suits.
Sarah Davies (TWO.D Photography)
I’ve been shooting weddings since 2013 alongside working as an NHS Physiotherapist, but decided to go full time early in 2019 – I didn’t fancy shooting 60 weddings alongside a full time job anymore!
In both of these jobs I was (and am) involved in the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, so I’m no stranger to a vast variety of emotion, and I’m certainly not shy of it.
The real, emotive moments of a wedding are what I hunt for, and capturing them with consideration to highlights, shadows and composition is crucial to truly reflect the feeling of the day in an artistic way. I aim to get stuck in, get to know what makes people tick, and become an included part of the wedding and a part of those moments, rather than shooting from the sidelines.
This is why I’m a lover of PKIR – I can’t wait to get stuck in with judging!
Marnix De Stigter
I’ve been shooting weddings for well over a decade now, and I still can’t get enough!
Combining documentary styled wedding photography with creative out-of-the-box posed images, results in an eclectic mix of images which seamlessly blend into one coherent style of photography. Capturing real emotions is what my main focus is on.
Getting the couple to feel time and time again, as they look at the reportage, what they felt in that moment.
Based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, I am blessed to have a wedding couple ask me to capture their wedding day in all sorts of exotic locations. I am truly honoured to be able to do this job for such a long time, with so much enthusiasm.
