Dee Bhudia

Hi I’m Dee – based in London I love to photograph weddings all over the world.  I can say I am blessed to be able to do something I love for a living.

I have been shootings weddings since 2012 and in 2016 I made the big leap and left the corporate world to do what I love full time – shooting weddings.

I have always been a huge fan of street photography and documentary photography. It’s this that has made me push to further develop my documentary skills as a wedding photographer. My style is modern and unobtrusive.

The real natural moments are the moments I live for when shooting.

When not photographing weddings I love spending time with my daughter, family and friends. I also love travelling too.

Nicola Mackrill

Hey! I’m Nicola, a wedding photographer from Halifax, West Yorkshire. I live with my other half, two kids and two cats; and when I’m not shooting weddings you can usually find me drinking coffee and browsing Rightmove for seaside homes I’ll never live in (it’s an actual hobby!)

I’m a bit of an introvert and a total people watcher so documentary photography is my biggest love, my style is all about capturing the moments between moments – the little looks, the belly laughs, the dance floor action, the bits you might miss if you’re not looking!

I haven’t been shooting weddings that long, I first dipped my toe into the wedding world in 2014 but it wasn’t till 2018 that I made it my official job, and I bloody love it! I’ve always loved photography, but I’ve never been one to put myself out there, although since winning my first ever photography award from PKIR I’m starting to blow my own trumpet a little bit more!

Wayne La

I’m Wayne and I’m a London- based documentary photographer.  I believe weddings are a microcosm of life being lived, where people are at their best, looking their best, even when they’re not on their best behaviour.  I want wedding photos to reflect that: The spontaneity, the imperfect, the quirks of people and the connections they make – and the beauty that weddings offer.

To be a judge on PKIR is an honour, as they are one of the few organisations that push documentary wedding photography as an art-form: Fleeting moments timed to perfection, beautifully framed compositions and (if the photography gods are feeling kind), some kind of light – the result are photos that is compelling, interesting, possessing of feeling, and sometimes with the ability to astonish.
