Janina Brocklesby

Hi! I am Janina, a documentary wedding photographer based in Lancashire.

I photograph weddings all over the world and love traveling, learning new cultures and meeting new people. I was always passionate about photography, but only in 2017 did I made the decision to chase my dreams – I can honestly say I feel like the luckiest person to be able to do what I love for living.

I enjoy observing people and the connections between them. My style is all about little and big moments, tears, belly laughs and drunken moves on the dance floor.

When I’m not shooting weddings you will find me traveling with my children, horse riding, drinking coffee or picking lego off the floor.

It is huge honour to be selected as PKIR judge and I can’t wait to see all the entries.

Phil Salisbury

Hi! I’m Phil, a Manchester based wedding photographer.

Forever a father first, I’m an evolving soul, I’m a documentary wedding photographer in my third year (if covid counts?!) and a lover of moments & harsh light, a sports fan & rum enthusiast.

My daughter taught me (unknowingly) the value of every moment when she was born. Since then my journey into photography has been all about those one off, never to be repeated moments. With that, I was naturally drawn to the documentary side of photography, which is where my love for the job lies.  Finding the imperfections that make things perfect on a wedding day is something I push myself to capture for my couples, being able to take them back to not just how something looked, but felt is something that’s hugely rewarding.

I’m a lover of street photography and try to draw as much inspiration from that when capturing weddings. I feel it’s the closest to an actual wedding day as we can get without it being one.

With all the above and being asked to judge on PKIR, it’s truly flattering. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the incredible work captured by other photographers and relishing the opportunity.

Gloria Ruth

Hi! My name is Gloria. I’ve been documenting weddings for 12 years. My grandparents purchased my first camera for me when I was in high school and I’ve been fascinated by photography ever since.

I love shooting weddings in a discreet, non-intrusive way and do my best to merge into the background. I prefer to let my clients’ wedding day tell its own story through all the emotion and candid moments of the day.

I’m honoured and excited to be asked to judge the amazing talent in this collection of the PKIR Awards!
